Far, far away there is a big city. I can hear it from here.I know there are people, thousands of them, maybe a million. I know there is a party going on. I want to go there. I can hear them laughing and chattering. French, English. Lots of words I don’t understand from the distance. From the safety of my place. There is a storm coming. I can feal it vibrating the air, down to the bones. I fear the winds, they might blow too strong. I am not ready. It’s too dangerous to leave my place, for now. Tomorrow I will go to them and join their party. For now I stay here and dance on my own.

The grass is brown, no leaves on the trees, winter still deep in the minds and faces of people – March has no real highlights for a painter looking for motivs. Maybe except this old tree in the Höhenpark Killesberg Stuttgart. So I spent one of the first nicer Weekends 2017 under it’s branches.

A warm breeze of Free Jazz over Salzburg

It was open day of all the museum in Salzburg but we came too late. So we climbed to the top of the Festung Hohensalzburg and sat on a wall. A group of brilliant young musicians improvised jazz down in the streets, the sound reached us from the distance and warmed our hearts against the arising cold of winter. This might be the most beautiful city in austria.

momentary state of ‘my war of art part01’

Due to the upcoming madness in our beloved world I started an art project, featuring acrylic paintings, video, vanitas and a strong need for love, peace and happyness. I think there’s no explanation necessary of the overall meaning of it. Just enjoy the show.

In future I will be painting on the streets and in parks, documenting the beauty and peace of our current life. Then I will start war, paint over additional layers with the potential destruction that will occur, when people don’t START TO THINK OVER their political behavior. Part of the project will be video documentations of the making-of and discussions with passerbys.

Be nice to your neighbor and he will be nice to you!
